Shindig 32 comes to a roaring end this Friday at Pat’s Pub & Brewhouse. Shindig is of course, CiTR’s classic battle-of-the-bands, where we get to see some of Vancouver’s best local musicians at the top of their game.
Come to see which band makes Shindig gold when Late Spring, The Psychic Alliance and Wallgrin compete for some awesome prizes. Packages from sponsors include showcase spots, studio-time, and much more!
It’s also Ben Lai’s last Shindig at host!!! He’s been the driving force at Shindig since 2001. Come and make sure he gets a proper send-off!
The music starts at 10PM sharp with The Psychic Alliance. Late Spring on at 11PM, Wallgrin on at midnight. The show is 19+, door is $6.
Featuring:
Late Spring: “ry nat kc nik ; rock, noise rock pop dream boat, vancouver”
The Psychic Alliance: “The less you know about this band, the better. Rumor has it that they’re very bad people, cruel to animals, misanthropic, frequently given to melancholy and intellectual dullards to boot. Stories of vicious infighting and rampant substance abuse follow them like a black cloud, and the threat of immediate collapse is constant. Fortunately they look cool.”
Wallgrin: “Wallgrin is the solo project of Tegan Wahlgren, a violinist and vocalist from Vancouver, BC. She would describe her sound as “punk-rock Enya” or “violin stuff like what Andrew Bird does but not really at all” if anyone bothered to ask her.”
Ben Lai: Shindig’s host for 15 years! Come see him off at his final night of hostitude.
