CiTR & Discorder is located in the AMS Nest at UBC. The AMS Nest is accessible via these buses:

Accessibility

The entrance to the AMS Nest is a set of double doors that are 68″ wide when both doors are open, and 34″ when one door is open. One of the doors may be opened by pushing the automatic door opener button located to the right of the doors and they can stay open for 30 seconds. Inside the AMS Nest, there are two elevators which open 48″ wide.

The elevator located at the south entrance, across from the “The Grocery Market”, is the most accessible to CiTR & Discorder. Once in the elevator, press “Ground Level” and you will exit at the basement and the back of CiTR radio station on the east side. The second elevator is located at the north entrance, near the UBC Life Building and “Honour Roll”. To access the north elevator from the south entrance, follow the accessible ramp up, go straight, pass the “Blue Chip Cafe”, and the elevator will be seen on the right side. Press “Ground Level” to go down.

CiTR & Discorder is located on the bottom floor of the AMS Nest, beneath Pie R Squared. The station has a wheelchair accessible entrance on its east side. Press the doorbell to be let in. The door to enter the station is 34″ wide.

The CiTR & Discorder Lounge has 2 low couches in an L formation around a low square table facing the front door of the station. There is additional seating in all rooms and offices of the station excluding the Music Library and Mobile Sound Room. There are both mobile and stationary chairs available.

CiTR & Discorder is a scent sensitive space. Please refrain from wearing strongly scented products and/or bringing scented flowers and other scented products into the Lounge, studios, and offices.

The CiTR & Discorder Lounge has a large wall of windows that can be opened to expose the station to the Atrium of the AMS Nest. There are 5 overhead fluorescent lights in the Lounge and Volunteer Office and at least 1 overhead fluorescent light in each office.

There is an outward facing sound system outside of the station broadcasting CiTR 101.9FM to the AMS Nest Atrium and an internal sound system broadcasting CiTR 101.9FM to the Lounge and Volunteer Office. The volume of both can be lowered or turned off.

There are gender-neutral washrooms located on every floor of the nest. The doors to enter the washrooms are not automatic. The doors are 34” wide.
