It’s that time of year again! CiTR’s annual Fundrive is coming up, and we want you to come party with us to celebrate!

Time: Doors at 6:00 p.m., music starts at 7:00 p.m.
Cost: 5$ // 3$ for CiTR, FilmSoc, Improv, VOC, Ubyssey and BVP members
Who: Anyone 19+ with valid ID
Featuring local bands, DJs, and a raffle for sweet prizes!
PEACH PIT
With self proclaimed sad bubblegum sound PEACH PIT is a Vancouver based band with members hailing from UBC’s campus and formed after a sun-stroked trip to Pemberton Music Festival where the inspiration for the band took off. The bands music uses personal experiences from “high school heartbreak and self deprecation” to “backstabbing best friends and drug addicted tour guides” they weave relatable tales through danceable music.
Mellt
Grown out of the BVP this band has formed a super sweet sound out of their year and a half together. Growing quickly through their relatable alternative rock sound they played stages such as AMS First Week Live at Lunch, Biltmore Cabaret, Media Club and more. The epitome of Vancouver local music Mellt has quickly won the hearts of Vancouver listeners and their work has been broadcasted throughout Vancouver and Canada through CiTR, Vancouver Co-op and CBC. One to watch out for coming out of the UBC community.
Strumpets
Psychedelic folk-jazz jam-rock band born in 2015 Strumpets have been growing quickly throughout the UBC community through BVP and is stretching out into the lower mainland. With their first music video debuting soon the six piece band has hit the ground running spreading their unique sound.
Every day, CiTR signs up new members, teaches them how to use microphones, edit audio, write about music and cover topics vital to our community. Not only are we training authentic media producers, but we’re also growing future leaders. By supporting the 2016 Fundrive, you will ensure training and development opportunities for our student members and the CiTR community! Help us reach our goal of $40,000!
