Have you ever wanted to play in an epic battle of the bands? This is your chance!
CiTR is looking for the best new bands in Vancouver for our 34th annual SHiNDiG. We’re looking for musicians and bands of all shapes, sizes and genres. We will consider literally every genre — we’re not kidding. Past participants of this legendary event include Japandroids, 3 Inches of Blood, The Pack A.D., Mystery Machine and The Organ. Last year’s winner was Little Sprout, who went on to release a self-titled EP and play this year’s Music Waste Festival!
Winners of SHiNDiG receive studio time, mastered tracks, and a feature in Discorder Magazine among other sweet stuff like merchandise production and showcase opportunities. You also get to join the honoured ranks of SHiNDiG champions!
Please send the following information to Andy Resto at firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to compete in SHiNDiG 2017:
• A demo of original material containing a minimum of three songs (any format is acceptable: Soundcloud, Bandcamp, mp3 etc.).
• Contact information including e-mail and phone number
Bio, photos or other information are not required but we will look at them if you send them in.
Feel free to drop off submissions in person at the CiTR Radio Station.
The deadline for submissions is September 9, 2017.
Questions? Maybe we already answered them here.
