CiTR turns 75! A CiTR Alumni Weekend
On November 16 & 17, the Student Radio Society of UBC (a.k.a. CiTR) celebrated 75 years of campus & community radio excellence + 30 years on the FM dial + 30 years of Discorder magazine.
The weekend started with informal beers at Perch Diner on the Friday night. Brunch on Saturday morning at the Thea Koerner House was followed by tours and jumping on the air at the station. Then, everyone headed to Chapel Arts for CiTR’s Diamond Radioversary party, with historical exhibits, jokes for beer and bands Gang Signs, Fine Mist, Culture Shock, Miss Marr & Friends , Carolyn Mark and the New Best Friends and Channels 3 and 4. Alumni were also scheduled to do radio programs throughout the weekend.
Thank you to all those who helped with the weekend, and all those who participated!
