Vivaporú welcomes 2020 with a special topic: SABROSURA VINTAGE, a music genre created and developed by your favorite DJs and your favorite radio show (that's right, Vivaporú is and will be your favorite show soon enough). A mix of Boogaloos, Latin Soul, Guajiras and otros (al that tasty and savory love from the 50s and 60s that Cuban and Afro-American culture blessed us with). If your hips cannot control themselves, you, amigue, are doing it right! The DJs talk about the role of New York in the cooking of these Latin music genres, and how this stew allowed for the climax of salsa in the 1970s. This episode also pays tribute to las reinas, Celia Cruz and La Lupe (because we would not be ere without them, let's face it). Finally, the DJs discuss their love for Latin Soul, and of course, their love for llamas. Here's to a great 2020 filled with Vivaporú, El Ungüento pa' la SOUL! (get it?).
