New Music Video by Sarah Jickling and Her Good Bad Luck

Discorder is excited to debut a new music video by Sarah Jickling and Her Good Bad Luck for the track, “You Let Me Down.” This video was created by Sarah Jickling and local artist, Amelia Butcher.

This isn’t the first time Jickling and Butcher have collaborated. Earlier this year, they released a zine, It’s Okay… a handbook for human beingsthat shares coping skills for dealing with crises and overwhelming emotions. In addition to music, Jickling is a mental health advocate, and performs music in high schools across British Columbia with the BC Schizophrenia Society’s Reach Out Psychosis Concert Tour.

Amelia Butcher is an illustrator and ceramicist, and founding member of the Dusty Babes Collective. Butcher has produced several drawing series (including “New Canadiana” in the April 2016 issue of Discorder). “You Let Me Down” features Butcher’s “Angry Girls.”

“You Let Me Down” is a song on Sarah Jickling and Her Good Bad Luck’s recently released album, When I Get Better. The full album can be streamed on Sarah Jickling’s website here: https://www.sarahsgoodbadluck.com/music/

Check out the Winter 2017-18 issue of Discorder for an essay by Jickling on Seasonal Affective Disorder titled “Baby, It’s Dark Outside.”
