Discussions on Sexual Assault at UBC

In recent weeks, UBC has been under a media microscope due to allegations of sexual assault and misconduct in the Department of History. As reported by the CBC, allegations of sexual assault and sexual misconduct from at least six women against one grad student were mishandled by UBC,   and action against the accused were delayed for over a year until days before the CBC’s fifth estate aired a documentary about the allegations.

UBC Insiders On Air, News 101, and Lady Radio all covered sexual assault on campus, and interviewed Lucia Lorenzi, Caitlin Cunningham, and Kaitlin Russell about their experiences of reporting sexual assault to the UBC administration.
