The time has come once again for the students of UBC Vancouver to elect their representatives in the AMS Elections of 2012. The candidates began their campaigns on January 16th, and while the white snow is slowly melting away on campus, it is being quickly replaced by colourful and dramatic campaign posters.
It is now that time of the campaign period for some candidates, in their own words, to convince our listeners why their campaign platforms may be the best bet for the positions they are running for.
News 101 on CiTR 101.9 FM will be hosting two debates with the following candidates.

Calling all sports fanatics, the CiTR Sports department needs you! All kinds of opportunities are available for volunteers.
Help needed for:
- live broadcast of games (including set-up and play-by-play)
- in studio board operation during games
- halftime reports
- sideline coverage
- contributions to Thunderbird Eye (Thursdays 3:30-4:00p.m.)
Thunderbird Eye airs weekly, now on Thursday from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m. The show features reviews, interviews with UBC athletes, previews of upcoming games, and all things UBC Sports! For all who are interested, it is a great opportunity to sit-in and learn radio while talking about sports. If time is an issue, there is the option of pre-taping content for upcoming shows.
