The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed show of Vancouver Whitecaps and Canadian football chat.
It’s been another busy few days at club and country level and we have you covered again in this episode.
The Whitecaps saw their 10 game unbeaten league run ended in a 1-0 Cascadia derby loss to Portland Timbers on Friday night. We look at the highs and lows from the game, some of the bizarre personnel decisions on the night, the continued flat first half performances, and where that loss leaves the ‘Caps now after the weekend’s other results in the Western Conference.
Turning our attention to the international stage, we delve into the aftermath of Canada’s 3-0 win over El Salvador in World Cup qualifying and look at the lay of the land in the CONCACAF octagon. Plus we hear some postgame audio from head coach John Herdman and players Atiba Hutchinson and Milan Borjan.
