As four Polaris Music Prize jurors, we discuss why heavy metal hasn't been as represented on the short lists, long lists, and prize winners as other genres. Are there not enough jurors championing this music? What are the preconceptions people have on metal music? And is there enough industry support for Canadian heavy metal?
