8:00am - 10:00am

Born in amiskwaciy-wâskahikan (Edmonton) and now landed and living in Coast Salish territory, "PLEASEBENiCE" (she/they) is a trans-female psychedelic pop artist and producer.

Blending indie pop with Hip-Hop and Rock, she creates ear grabbing lyrics about finding love in a transphobic metaverse-stricken society. She has been picking up different instruments and discovering music program since the tender age of 5 years.

She released her debut album “I Love You So Much” in October 2020, entirely produced, recorded, mixed, mastered, all by herself. Fans loved the project, specifically crowd favourites like “Finite (So I Get Attached)” and “It Ain’t Safe (feat. DIRTY DEV)” the latter being an anti Jason Kenney activist anthem. Following up on this debut, she next released an EP titled “the sun loves me”.

Her latest project is her upcoming second album "DOING JUST FINE!" which will be released on April 21st. The album release party takes place at 648 Kingsway on that date at 7:30pm on Friday April 21st. Tickets available on her website at www.pleasebeniceyo.com and you can follow and learn more about the artist on socials at @pleasebeniceyo

ALEXIS LYNN (she/her)is an Indigenous singer-songwriter from Surrey, British Columbia, with family roots in Caldwell First Nation.

A captivating performer with honeyed vocals and an edge underneath it, Alexis crafts deceptively sweet pop anthems that never shy away from her ethos of honesty and empowerment. Inspired by the worlds of Pop and R&B, her ultra-catchy music radiates confidence and examines our insecurities in equal measure.

Alexis goes deeper than ever on her latest project: a multi-faceted exploration of mental health and its effects on our lives and relationships, that promises to be her most personal work yet.

Alexis Lynn’s impressive streak of singles, and most recently the release of her album “Real Talk”, has shown off her vocal chops and aesthetic range. The multifaceted exploration of mental health is a true collection of pop bangers and soulful confessions – including her single “Fall Apart,” charting at No. 5 on the Indigenous Music Countdown – Real Talk is Alexis Lynn’s most authentic, raw work to date. Her discography runs the gamut from the dance music-inflected “Ghosts” (a bare, anthemic meditation on vulnerability and insecurity) to the club-friendly buoyancy of “Bubble” (a flirtatious trap-pop bop about emotional availability).

Alexis Lynn’s uplifting, affirming music might be the perfect balm for the interim; in an era defined by distance, what could be better than songs that make us feel a little less alone? Learn more about the artist and catch her up on her website, www.alexislynnmusic.com
