Welcome back everyone - Hope your fall is getting off to a good start - We have been exploring many sounds and genres in the past few months with a heavy focus on acoustics and summer breezy tunes - However, as the weather changes so will some of the sounds here as well. We enter the fall getting back to the basics of heavy, melodic, synthy records with lush sounds and even better vocals, beginning with a contemporary classic ballad from LCD Soundsystem, one of the best songs of all time c/o The Beach Boys (off of the immaculate 'Pet Sounds' - if you don't know, now you know...), a great cut from Zero 7, and new wave guitar rock at its finest by The Cure; next we get into some deep rhythms and melodies with a standout cut from Charlotte Day Wilson's great record from earlier this year, another new excellent track from Tirzah (great album!), and classics from ATCQ and Slum Village, respectfully / respectively; we close with stunning new work from Mac Demarco, Men I Trust, and MUNYA; and of course, because I wouldn't leave you hanging, the bonus gem - Please enjoy~~
