Hey everyone - We have quite the show this evening, mix cassette 9.0 - We are going to another level of course, it is an existential mix, which means it gets a bit complex but resolves real nicely. The mix begins with a beautiful, haunting, and enchanting jazz ballad from The George Shearing Quintet and Nancy Wilson, which leads into Cut Copy pushing that great indie electro guitar rock, Bonobo and Bajka with the brilliant percussion, ambience, and vocals, and a transcendental Mos Def working some magic from '98; the next section is a deep labyrinth of new synths, vocals, and rhythms c/o of Partner, Kimbra, Rhye, Daphni, Destroyer, CHVRCHES, KIDS SEE GHOSTS, and A$AP Rocky; we close with a spoken word on the state of rock & roll, my current favourite track - the brilliant 'My Jesus Phase' c/o Eleanor Friedberger, and a bonus gem to continue stirring it up - Please enjoy~~
