Happy New Year once again everyone - There was a bit of technical difficulties with the Dec. 27th show (7.0), so we are going to do a redo. Once more, we have an excellent, funky, mix brought forth this evening that both acknowledges and admires what 2017 has brought and looks forward to what 2018 may bring. We begin with the one and only Norah Jones whose golden vocals introduce the soul and intensity of the proceeding classic tracks from Delegation, Stevie Wonder, off of his epic triple album, 'Songs In The Key of Life', and D'Angelo bringing true grit and spirit; this is followed by Leonard Cohen's poetics, and stellar, real, soul music from Mavis Staples feat. Jeff Tweedy (!), James Brown (!!!!!!), Daniel Caesar, and the wonderful Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings (R.I.P.); we close looking towards the future with Tei Shi, Kid Cudi - off of his very underrated album 'Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'', Taylor Swift, whose recent album is crazy good, Leonard Cohen reminding us to be thankful, and a bonus gem out of this world - Please enjoy~~
