Beginning her career in music as a secretary for various music producers, Barbara Acklin later found her voice in the R&B community when singer Jackie Wilson agreed to record one of her songs called Whispers (Gettin' Louder). On this weeks episode we begin with a segment attributed to Barbara Acklin and her work and later fall into jazz and blues based content.
