In Our Gaybourhood is an oral history podcast chronicling the stories of 2SLGBTQIA+ activism in schools and communities of so-called British Columbia as a collective archive and as a foundation for local queer futurisms. Intersections is a 3-part series exploring and unpacking the accounts of BIPOC activists in aspirationally inclusive education and queer advocacy spaces.
The first episode released through Power in Voice connects listeners to the reflections of Chanelle Tye, educator and EDI consultant, as she recounts her work in education and queer advocacy in conversation with JC Fung. In the episodes to follow, they are joined by Dr. Tiara Cash, researcher and mindfulness coach, as the discussion continues to explore healing, learning to navigate, and finding meaning in this work and these spaces.
