Today, in honour of his two sold-out shows at the Commodore Ballroom in February, we present a look at Colin James. The blues rocker released his first Little Big Band album in 1993. It was quite the hit, and went platinum in Canada. He followed it with a second set in 1998 and a third in 2006. They are cover albums mostly, featuring the very popular and danceable swing blues of the 1940s and 1950s. They feature a large band of carefully chosen musicians to back up Mr. James' voice and guitar. The recordings hold up very well decades later. We will bring you the first album in its entirety, and as much of the other two as we can squeeze in.
