Asian Wave 101 Episode October 21, 2015

Asian Wave 101, Oct. 21, 2015

4:03pm - 5:08pm

Ever wonder what rock music sounds like when interpreted by Mandarin speaking artists? This week should answer those your questions, with folk-rock singer-songwriter William Wei aka Weibird, and Taiwanese punk band 831. Of course, Han Seungyeon of Kara cannot be neglected as she's bringing her own rock sensibility. Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Daniel Kim with his original house track "Letting Go" this week, as well as Hong Kong pop diva G.E.M's latest single. From Korea, rookie "hip hop boy group" (I know it sounds funny) Monsta X and a tribute to J Dilla by Chancellor and R&B artist Bumkey. All on this week's Asian Wave 101.

Thank you to CiTR Tech Coordinator Scott for dropping in today.
