New Music Review By Mark Hjorthoy
v/a – Noise Forest
A compilation of noise from a great label to trust for it. So thick and dense. Each track is its own atmosphere, its own planet, it’s own life, and it’s a very cool collection for a very specific genre. It starts with Merzbow for crying out loud! That’s how you know it has to be good. Noise at its finest.
Haptic – Sensitive Dependence on Initial Conditions
Oceans of sound flowing beautifully with and against the tide, combined with sounds that literally fill your ears and overwhelm your senses. Damn, I love this album! You never know where it’s going. All you can do is float along, and see where you end up. I expect great things from Los Angeles’ Line Sound Art Editions, and I’ve never been let down – especially today. Sail away on this one, and you’ll never want to go back.
