CiTR is hiring for both Staff and Work Learn positions beginning in September!
We’re hiring a Volunteer Manager! This role is an integral part of the station’s community outreach initiatives. The Volunteer Manager works closely with both CiTR and Discorder Magazine to facilitate relationships between us and students at UBC as well as members of the larger community of radio and music lovers in Vancouver. It’s the responsibility of the individual in this roll to attract students and volunteers and to manage those involved with the station including volunteers, interns, high school students and work placements. The Volunteer Manager acts as the friendly face of the station and offers support to new volunteers who are interested in getting involved with the radio or magazine.
The Volunteer Manager is also responsible for maintaining CiTR’s mandate to amplify underrepresented voices and to provide a safe space for members of our diverse community to receive training and education in media. The Manager should be knowledgeable about and have a commitment to anti-oppressive practice. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is comfortable with communicating in groups and managing conflict in interpersonal situations. They are passionate about supporting the CiTR community and enriching the organization through increased accessibility and diversity in our volunteer program.
Advertising and Distribution Coordinator

The Advertising and Distribution Coordinator is responsible for generating advertising revenue for CiTR and Discorder, and creating positive, healthy and longstanding relationships with local businesses and community organizations. We’re looking for someone interested in connecting with people and being an ambassador for the radio station and magazine.
The Advertising and Distribution Coordinator also distributes Discorder magazines around Vancouver and ensures that CiTR is delivering quality and timely service. They are the person who gets Discorder on shelves all over the city and creates connections between our magazine, our distribution locations and the community.
