Ballet BC continues its 2013-2014 season with UN/A April 24-26, following their spectacular performance of Grace Symmetry in February. Similar to Grace Symmetry, UN/A will showcase three new pieces of choreography by Gioconda Barbuto, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, and Cayetano Soto, who are renowned for their previous works in the international dance world.

Arts Report Danielle Piper attended Ballet BC’s last production Grace Symmetry in February. It was an electrifying combination of contemporary ballet and modern dance. The dancers, with their intricate and elegant movements, made shapes with their bodies that were utterly captivating – completely embodying the significance of the show’s title. The Turning Point Ensemble performed music by composers including Vancouver’s Owen Underhill, which beautifully complimented each dance and added an awe-inspiring feel to the performance.
