Author

CiTR is a proud sponsor of the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition‘s Central Valley Greenway Birthday Party and Ride. Come and be part of the improvements happening in Metro Vancouver’s Bike Network.

More experienced riders, and those looking for a longer ride, can start at Hyack Square in New Westminister between 9:30 and 10:30am to arrive at the Winston Overpass, where the Vancouver Area Cycling Coalition will provide a BBQ lunch and entertainment. Riders can also join the ride here, conveniently located at the Sperling Skytrain Station.

The lunch and party goes until 12:30pm,when everyone will be invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony at the newest addition to the CVG, the bike bridge over Still Creek. Ride over it and continue to the MEC Bike Fest at Science World, featuring entertainment, performances, and maintenance lessons.

The cost of the ride, lunch, and a package of maps and information is $8 for VACC members and $10 for non-members. If you join the VACC on the day, the ride is free.
