From March 19th – 26th, the University of British Columbia presents Brave New Play Rites, premiering 26 short plays at Studio 1398 on Granville Island.

The festival features 10 full productions and 16 staged readings, written by UBC Creative Writing Program students. Brave New Play Rites is one of the longest running new play festivals in western Canada, and second and third productions of previous scripts have been staged in Toronto, New York and Edinburgh.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you might even scream a little… but mostly you’ll laugh!
