rfg #96 - "gak not here, only vc" (2009 December 28)

7:34am - 8:59am

While Gary enjoys winter holidays Back East, I bring you a rootsy soundtrack to your week. Musical tribute paid to the great Athens, GA singer-songwriter Vic Chesnutt, who died Christmas Day. May he find the peace in rest that was so elusive in life. Tonight's featured movie soundtrack was "O Brother Where Art Thou". One of the best movies, and movie soundtracks of the past decade -well deserving of its Grammys. Delmore was my favourite character in the movie, so I made darn tootin' sure to include the song where he takes the lead vocals. Yeehaw!
