Uschi Tala (they/them) is a Queer gender fluid, multi-instrumentalist, and live loop Witchop artist. Witchop is a term they coined themselves as they found it difficult to fit themselves into any other genre. Uschi draws inspiration from the elements of the underworld and the light found within darkness. Wielding a loop pedal, beat machine and various instruments, they create ambient soundscapes that dance along hauntingly serene vocals and rhythmic rhymes. Uschi’s music has been described as tragically beautiful, otherworldly and pure magic. Their lyrics embody an ocean of healing and encourage others to see the radiance in themselves as well as the bigger picture. They will ground your spirit, and raise your heart into etherial worlds of the "in between". Settler residing in the woods of Sinixt Territory.

Their latest release is Many Ways To Pray which came out at the end of July with an accompanying video and is available on streaming platforms. To learn more about Uschi and their music, visit their website at www.uschitala.com

Their latest exhibition is Ghosts of the Machine, with exhibition dates running now through August 14th at The Polygon Gallery in North Vancouver. For more information on the exhibition visit www.thepolygon.ca
