Claude l'Anthrope (They/Them) is a queer artist from Montreal, focusing on music and sound arts. They began their career in song as a teenager by winning several prizes in song competitions and have been singing on City stages ever since!
Performing on the stages of the city for more than a decade, Claude has released (under different pseudonyms) more than ten albums, showcasing varied styles, ranging from folk to electro-pop.

In 2017, they completed a bachelor's degree in digital music at the University of Montreal and their pop suddenly took on an electronic touch.

More than a year after the release of their last single 'Le Nouveau Millénaire' , Claude l'Anthrope is back in full force with 'Allosexuel.le', a tribute to queerness that was released as part of the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia on May 17th. The track is taken from Claude's new album, The Lights Killed the Night, which will be released in the summer of 2021 and we cannot wait to hear it!

She was born in Calgary to a Metis/French mother and Irish/Welsh father.

A performer since childhood, she trained at the prestigious Randolph Academy of Performing Arts in Toronto. She studied theatre and film acting, dance, and music. During her time there she started writing songs. She is now based in Vancouver.
