The Blasters are an American rock band formed in 1979 in Downey, California, by brothers Phil Alvin (vocals and guitar) and Dave Alvin (guitar), with John Bazz (bass) and Bill Bateman (drums). Their self-described "American Music" is a blend of rockabilly, early rock and roll, punk rock, mountain music, and rhythm and blues and country. Today, we explore the three studio albums that they recorded for Slash Records during the five years of their first (and best) incarnation.
