Language Justice and the AMS Bike Kitchen and Gender Affirming Care Referendum Items

This week, we spoke to Alex Alvarez, Shop Manager, and Maggie Marthinsen, Junior Mechanic, at the Bike Kitchen about how voting yes to the $3 fee increase to support the Bike Kitchen can support the community as a whole. We also spoke with Lynda Li about language justice and her TEDxUBC talk last weekend. Finally, we also spoke to a representative from the Trans Coalition at UBC about why voting yes to expand the AMS Health and Dental Plan to include gender-affirming care is life-saving for trans students.
