Singer, songwriter, producer, drummer and legend Maurice White had a profound effect on the music industry in the late 60's and early 70's. From his time playing in the Ramsey Lewis Trio through to his creation of world renowned pop group Earth Wind and Fire, White was able to bind his many experiences playing with different artists and able to fuse multiple genres ranging from latin and jazz to Africano when creating the inspirational, uplifting and spiritual music of EWF. White also spearheaded multiple groups and artists while simultaneously bringing new, uniting sounds onto the musical scene that had, for many years, been lost.

Sadly, Maurice White passed away on February 4th of this year. However, we pay tribute to him on this episode by tracking his life long musical career.
