Interview with Sue Malcolm of Highrise Lonesome: 10 min.Concert calendar: 10 min.Interview with Melissa Bandura (Familiar Wild): 10 min
The school year is still frosh-fresh here at UBC and already controversies rage. (google "rape chant" if you are not in the know..)
Anyhoo, it is 9/11, and to that end Ryan Adams and Leonard Cohen finish tonight's show. Before that, a couple of 9/11 birthdays were featured (Leo Kottke, Dave Bidini).
Tonight's interviews: 1) Sue Malcolm of bluegrass band Highrise Lonesome. Their CD release is at the ANZA Club Sept. 23. 2) Melissa Bandura (aka Familiar Wild) also has a new CD, she will be at Rifflandia this weekend and various venues around BC in September.
If you're still reading: it is also My Birthday. If you'd like to buy me a drink, an extra dry martini with two olives would be lovely. ;-)
Thanks again for listening!
