Campus Services

Greetings from CiTR 101.9 FM!

CiTR is your campus radio station located on the second floor of the Student Union Building. Here are all the services we will provide for you:

Public Service Announcements
CiTR will produce and broadcast free advertisements to promote campus clubs and student groups. If you have an upcoming event, or want to tell more people about your club, this is a great way to get the word out. Send a press release or short script to psas@citr.ca 2-3 weeks prior to your event. We’ll also post information about your event on the home page of our website.

Sound System Rental and DJ Services
CiTR offers affordable sound system rentals for events large and small. For $50, you can rent a basic PA for your event. You can also hire fully-trained CiTR DJs to spin tunes of any genre for your next event. For more information, contact us at sponsorship@citr.ca.

Campus Coverage
Are you doing something on the campus or in the community that others should know about? CiTR provides coverage of campus and community activities and events. Contact the News Department at news@citr.ca, the Arts Department at arts@citr.ca or the Sports Department at sports@citr.ca.

Broadcasting and Journalism Training
CiTR offers free training in broadcasting and radio production to members, as well as print journalism training through CiTR’s Discorder Magazine. Members also have access to over 35,000 albums, studios, and recording equipment. Learn more about volunteering at CiTR…

Host a Show
CiTR provides all the necessary training for you to host your own show. After three sessions covering the technical, production, and programming aspects of radio broadcasting, you can submit a demo and show proposal and get on the air! Student groups are also welcome to apply. CiTR welcomes all genres of music and spoken word programming. Become a member, get trained and start hosting a show!

    Good evening.

I’m wondering who can get involved with the station and how?

I’m a student entering my 1st year at UBC this fall.

I have been working as a journalist for roughly a year, and have a diploma in broadcast journalism from BCIT. I would like to contribute or get involved in some fashion.

    Thanks for our time!

    Kyle

Hey I heard that Citr was looking for a visual artist for maybe some ads or some posters? I’m not sure, I can’t remember where I heard that, But if you guys are looking for an artist I would love to give it a shot! Just contact me if there’s any good opportunities?

    Thanks,

    -Lindsey
