Writing for Discorder:
An introduction to music journalism with Discorder Editor Jacey Gibb
Writing for a music magazine is a lot like surviving a bear attack — everyone wants to do it, but some people just don’t know how. Join the Discorder team for an introduction to music writing, including album/concert reviews and long-form features. This session will also serve as an introduction to the magazine and a bit on how Discorder operates behind-the-scenes.

Tuesday September 23 6pm-8pm in Room 212a at UBC’s Student Union Building

How to Host a Radio Show:
Learn the basics of hosting a radio show with the host of CiTR’s Duncan’s Donuts, Duncan McHugh.
This session will talk in-depth about the process involved with becoming an on-air host (also known as a programmer!), at CiTR. Learn about developing a show concept, connecting with your audience, interacting with listeners and the general etiquette of being on-air.  Everyone is welcome, regardless of radio background, and no experience is necessary!

Wednesday September 24 6pm-8pm in Room 212a at UBC’s Student Union Building

Workshops are free for members! Space is limited so if you are interested please RSVP at volunteer@citr.ca
