Carnaval del Sol, an outdoor Latin fiesta at Concord Pacific is coming up on July 9th & 10th. Pack your colourful summer clothes and come eat, play and live Latin America!

The 2016 Latin American Week will start on July 1st with the Canada Day Parade, featuring a White Salsa Cruise, an Aboriginal and Latin American Art Exhibition, Latin American Film Festival, culminating with Carnaval del Sol.

Carnaval del Sol is a free 2-day demonstration of Latin culture. It will feature a free culinary show that reunites sixteen chefs to fuse the cuisine of Latin America and Canada. Peruvian food will be at the centre of the show and chefs from Argentina, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and Colombia will be participating as well. Latin American food vendors will be also available during the whole event.

Carnaval del Sol will be presenting a Canadian Latin American-inspired fashion show and a ‘World Mini Cup Series’ soccer tournament with Latin American Consulates & Diplomats in the opening date. You can sign a team up here!

Approximately 300 artists including musicians, dancers, canvas artists, magicians, and puppeteers will be united at Carnaval del Sol, showcasing talents on the Main Stage and all over the venue. There will be 25 live musical bands in addition to traditional folk dancers from different countries, Zumba and Capoeira performers, belly dancers and salsa lessons.

The whole family is invited! Carnaval del Sol includes special activities for kids such as Mini Chef, Kids Spa, arts and crafts, magicians, puppets and much, much more.
