Kinnie Starr at the Queer Arts Festival | August 2

CiTR is proud to support Kinnie Starr and Cris Derksen at the Queer Arts Festival on August 2nd!

The show is celebrating the official launch of Kinnie Starr’s new album, “Kiss It” a self-produced record based on fresh new wave electro hip hop beats that Kinnie created herself. The album features a prominent focus on positive female sexuality due to the heavy presence of homogenized male sexuality found in today’s hip-hop scene.

Joining Kinnie Starr will be award-winning cellist Cris Derksen, a performer who strives to push the boundaries of musical exploration and creative discovery. The evening will also include a presentation of BEAMS, the new collaborative project between Starr and Derksen.

Tickets are $5 for youth courtesy of the TD Come Out For Art Youth Ticket Program, $20 for adults in advance, and $25 at the door. Ticket costs include a CD!

The show is at the Roundhouse Performance Centre, located at 181 Roundhouse Mews.
Bar opens at 6:30, so come early and check out the curated art exhibition TransgressionNow.
Show starts at 7:30 PM.
